“In my art, I am essentially interested in creating works that captures the audience attention through live performances, commercial work and dance films. My inspiration comes from the community around me and artists I'm inspired by. The Awakening is a short dance film showcasing the talents of three Columbia dance students. I was inspired to combine three separate videos into one video. This created a feeling of watching a film instead of a dance video. I want the audience to feel connected with the music and artists through film. I have learned that practice never makes perfect, but it makes the progress even better.”
