Your Guide for the Return to the Student Center

About the Project
In a few years, viewers will look back at this and think, "Wow. So that's how the world was during the COVID-19 pandemic." This video was released on Sept. 23, 2020, right when the U.S. was coming out from its second wave. Life was slowly emerging, and things were reopening. Senior Video Editor Ignacio Calderon, Photojournalist Evan Fintzy, and I made this video for the Columbia community to know what to expect when they returned to the Student Center.
Never in a million years did we think we'd make a video on this topic. This video serves not only as a guide for you, but also to reflect on a time that has impacted millions. Please continue to wear a mask, wash your hands, and maintain physical distance. You can see the first reopening campus video, "Reopening Columbia: Keeping Columbia Safe" on the Columbia Chronicle's YouTube channel.

“Paige is a walking advertisement for Columbia and for the broadcast journalism program in particular. Seeing her graduate in the spring will be bittersweet. Her broadcast skills have come to fruition this semester with the Media Hub Minute—a wrap-up of news published in the Columbia Chronicle. The program is on our social media channels as well as on the Chronicle website.
Paige has also demonstrated her leadership skills as the Chronicle's audience engagement editor. She's a great example of a student using her broadcast skills across a wide range of platforms.”
