Hole in wall
The Hole in the Wall Gallery is the newest project of The Center Galleries, curated, produced, and managed by students in the Gallery Management Practicum in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. The Center Galleries support creative work and collaboration across disciplines and media, explore critical topics, and celebrate the diverse Columbia College Chicago community.
Memory Box
When visual and audio come together, the combination channels a feeling of fractured remembrance. Memory Box is a collaborative piece involving the works of Ren Andujar, Seamus MacFarland, and Levi Secter, curated by Willem Siersma.
Andujar’s digital composite wraps the back wall with fragmented imagery, while MacFarland’s pieces float on the surface displaying clear images of the natural Ontario landscape, creating the sense of muddled recollection of memories.
Secter’s soundscape includes the recordings from Columbia College Chicago audio library to create three separate soundscapes of Ontario’s wildlife: a forest environment, a calm lake front, and white-water rapids.
