Church on Munday

"Clothing, for us, is not just a physical covering. It becomes a representation of something deeper—our inner strength, divine purpose, and the promises God has spoken over our lives."
Concept Statement
The Hebrew word temunah refers to a form or likeness, often describing a visual representation or image. It can encompass both physical shapes and abstract visions—like a mental image. In the biblical context, temunah is connected to the commandment against idolatry, emphasizing that God, in His infinite nature, cannot be captured in physical form. His essence transcends human understanding and cannot be reduced to something we can see or hold.
This idea of temunah resonates deeply with the heart behind this collection, Church on Munday. Clothing, for us, is not just a physical covering. It becomes a representation of something deeper—our inner strength, divine purpose, and the promises God has spoken over our lives. Just as temunah challenges us to understand that God’s presence cannot be confined to material things, this collection invites us to see fashion as a visual reminder of the spiritual truths that live within us—even when they aren’t visible.
In the same way God’s promises are unseen yet deeply felt, Church on Munday seeks to reflect a likeness of that truth—the belief that we are chosen, called, and equipped for a purpose far greater than ourselves. Though the fullness of God’s plan may not always be clear, through this work we are reminded that we walk in His intention, even when we can't see the whole picture.
This collection calls us to remember the divine image we carry—one of strength, resilience, and hope—and to walk boldly in the promise of a future that has already been written for us.
