About the Project
This is a collection of work done while attending Columbia College Chicago.
The first video is titled HOTSHOT, which is a student short film for a Directing 1 course at Columbia College Chicago. This production was shot at the Media Production Center at Columbia College Chicago, South State Street, Chicago, IL. Under my leadership, I had the opportunity to showcase my skills as a film director by effectively communicating my vision for this production. I was able to collaborate with assigned production designers, actors, director of photography, and an editor as well.
The second video is titled Checkmate and is a student short film for a Directing 2 course for Columbia College Chicago that was also shot at the Media Production Center. I was able to collaborate with assigned production designers, actors, director of photography for this project as well.
The third project, Otis Dream Promo, is a promotional video for a course called the Doc Unit. This personal testimony was used in one of the shows this course hosts every month, which highlights different stories and topics that we all face on a day to day basis.
About Kenneth Richardson
My name is Kenneth Richardson, and I am a Producer/Director.
Being a producer has allowed me to wear multiple hats. I had the opportunity to collaborate with other directors in bringing their projects to life from an acting aspect to planting seeds of creative decisions and growing a tree of art.
What I love about directing is the process of interpreting text in a way that will tell a story in the most compelling, dynamic, and personal way.
“Kenneth Richardson is a talented writer, director, and producer. His strong leadership, vision, and creativity stand out in my production company course. He has risen to the challenge of community service by making short documentaries in support of good causes such as voting rights, women's rights, and gender equality. Kenneth listens closely and responds creatively to all kinds of clients.”
