Their work highlights a range of disciplines and a variety of subject matter, explored through dance, printmaking, film, painting, fashion, and photography. This award allows recipients the experience of developing a cohesive project to kickstart their creative careers.

The Albert P. Weisman Award supports advanced undergraduate and graduate students to complete a substantial media-based project. The Award was established in 1974 and is named after Al Weisman— journalist, publicist, teacher, mentor, and trustee of Columbia College Chicago.
